Myrajean — Myra to most, Mom, Grandma, Mum-mum, and Gwanma to the lucky ones — had the rare gift of turning strangers into friends with a smile and uproarious laugh. Once you were friends, you were family for life; her family was never measured by blood, but by love, and it was infinite.
Her greatest dream was simple: to be a wife and mother. She became that and so much more — wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother — loving each of her “babies” with a fierce, whole-hearted joy that never dimmed. She carried a permanent twinkle in her eye and a spirit that refused to grow old.
Myra could be found either surrounded by family laughing and joking or passionately playing ToonTown and Pirates of the Caribbean online. She knew more about Walt Disney World than Walt himself. I’d say thirty-some-odd trips earned her those bragging rights.
Myra’s family have so many memories of her they hold near and dear to their hearts. Myra’s oldest daughter, Heidi, treasures every vacation they shared. But her most cherished memory is the night she surprised Mom at Ramsay’s Kitchen. “I’ll never forget the excitement in her eyes and voice that night.”
Myra’s second-oldest daughter, whom she called her, “Beauty Queen” Bernadette cherishes every memory with her mom. She says, “There just isn’t enough space to write it all! But if I have to pick only one, it’s game nights with Mom. Song Burst being my favorite memory because that was me and Mom’s favorite game.”
Megan, Myra’s youngest daughter, says, “I’ll always hold dear the countless memories of Disney trips with Mom.” She smiles with tears in her eyes, “But the memory I’ll always cherish most is the time my single, working, and tired mother gave to me every Saturday with a matinee feature to the Cinemark as a child.”
Myra’s favorite saying was, “I was never rich in money, but I was always rich in life.”
Myra was born January 24, 1955.
Myra is survived by daughters Heidi Kopczenski, Bernadette Martin & Husband Billy, Megan Fratta & partner Cathrine Turpin; Grandchildren Sarah Meadows & wife Alexis, Corey Kopczenski & fiancé Ryan Ribeiro, Taylor Kopczenski, Michael Kopczenski, Joseph Kopczenski, Abigail Kopczenski, Jesse Sprenger & wife Thomika, Emily Rozdilski, Austin Rozdilski, Kyle Bennett, Collin McMillen, Haylee McMillen; Eight Great-grandchildren; and friends who became family. She is preceded in death by Granddaughter Ashlee Kopczenski, The Love of Her Life Tommy Gurlin, Father & Mother Everett and Helen Crocker, Brothers Noren Crocker & Edward Carden, and Sister Verna Roe.
Myra passed away on November 26, 2025. She lived a beautiful life of 70 years.
She will be missed every single day — until we meet again where youth is forever and magic never ends.
